R.E.B.E.L.S. #17 (download preview) :: Another great issue, R.E.B.E.L.S. actually makes the Rann-Thanagar stuff interesting. Oh, and don’t forget about the Tamaraneans!
Detective Comics #854 (Special $1 Edition) :: Greg Rucka and J.H. Williams III ‘s run on Detective Comics was amazing! You can’t pass up a one dollar copy of the first issue (perfect to get people hooked on it).
CHEW Vol 2: International Flavor TPB (website) :: Chew is an offbeat comic with a great and original plot. Definitively pick up the first trade.
New X-Men #114 (Marvel’s Greatest Comics $1 Edition) (link) :: I’ve never read Grant Morrison’s run on X-Men and this bad puppy was a buck. Perfect for reading and then passing on to someone else.
Darkwing Duck #1 (link) :: I loved Darkwing Duck growing up and the author (Ian Brill) is a pal of pal Mike. Good enough reason to pick up the first issue.
