We all know what the big new comic this week is, right? WHINER ALERT I hate to look a gift horse in the mouth, it IS a new Legion ongoing series, but WTF is up with the Lantern Ring on the cover? This is the first issue of a new series and right smack in the middle of the cover is the most recognizable image of another comic property? Do yo think the new Green Lantern books coming out this year will prominently feature Superman’s S symbol on the cover? Well, enough for the whining, let’s see what I got this week.
The Legion of Super-Heroes #1 (preview) :: It was good but my socks weren’t blown off. I’ll have a longer review of the issue this Friday.
Superman: War of the Supermen #3 (of 4) (link) :: They keep upping the ante week after week. First they blow up New Krypton, then they turn the sun red, now they beat the crap out of Earth. It’s a fun read.
Scott Pilgrim Gets It Together (V4) :: I’m getting V3 this weekend and will have them read by Monday.
If the presence of a GL ring on the cover helps the series sell, I can live with it.
That’s a very good point but if this series becomes The Green Lantern Corps in the 31st Century……PLUS The Legion! I’m not sticking around.
I TOTALLY agree! Fuck that trying to sell LoSH with a Green Lantern hype that ain’t there. Think how bad it’ll be when the GL film comes out.
