Lots of good stuff this week!
- Brightest Day #1 (download preview) :: I won’t lie, I got this for the promo ring. I really can’t get excited over BD, especially since it would be a drain on the wallet.
- Hellboy in Mexico (preview) :: Pal Aaron recommended this one. You can’t really go wrong with demonic lucha libre wrestlers, right?
- iZombie #1 (link) :: This was a great read and only costs a buck! Much like demonic lucha libre wrestlers you can’t go wrong with cute zombie girls.
- Jonah Hex #1 Special Edition (link) :: I’ve wanted to try out this title for a while and a buck is the perfect price.
- Batman and Robin #12 (preview) :: Another great issue with a fantastic surprise ending. Grant Morrison and Andy Clarke go together like peanut butter and jelly.
- Superman: War of the Supermen #1 (of 4) (preview) :: This first issue is exciting and jam-packed with action. I wouldn’t be a comic book fan if I didn’t have a gripe, right? (SPOILERS) OK, at the end of this issue both General Lane and Lex Luthor are genocidal murders on the scale of Hitler. What exactly will the punishment be when the truth eventually comes out? Are they going to get away with it? Is a super-hero going to ‘snap’ and kill one or both of them? If you are going to up the ante on evil you must do the same with the repercussions.
