Turner Classic Movies: Silent Sunday Nights introduction montage

Not comic book related in the least but I love Turner Classic Movie’s Silent Sunday Nights. All of TCM’s original shorts and montages are beautifully made but I think this is my favorite.

    1. Yes, exactly. I’m always pleasantly surprised to find how many film genres work so well without spoken dialogue, the action movie being my favorite. Last week’s silent movie Bardelys the Magnificent starring John Gilbert was amazing, especially the fight/get-away at the end of the film.

      1. Aw, fuck, I missed it!
I love silent comedy and have THE PATSY on the TiVo.  Silent movies require more focus so I tend to watch them when I am not distracted or doing something else at the same time.

    1. During the month of February TCM’s main focus is their “31 Days of Oscar”. Silent Sunday Nights returns on Sunday, March 7th with Show People starring Marion Davis, William Haines, Polly Moran and directed by King Vidor.
